AEEIS – UAE bags order from EMAL-GASCO

Abu Dhabi-based AEEIS bagged a prestigious contract from EMAL – a joint venture between Dubai Aluminium Company (DUBAL) and Mubadala Development Company – towards supplying various materials and commissioning multiple systems that will be part of world’s largest, single-site aluminum production facility.

AEEIS contract includes supplying and site commissioning of complete manual and actuated ball valves (sizes ranging from 2” to 36”) as well as design, supply, installation supervision, testing and commissioning of the gas pressure reduction station and two 15Kva UPS systems.

The project is being built in two phases utilizing the Emirati-developed pot technology ‘DX 340 KA’ for the first time for a complete aluminum production facility. By the completion of phase one in 2010, the facility will be capable of producing 700,000 tons of aluminum per annum. This capacity will be doubled to 1.4 million tons upon completion of phase two.
